Fingertip Functionality

Service Requests

This feature is used within the Core Framework and links directly to the SR function within Maximo and supports all of Maximo’s native SR functionality.
Key features are:

  • View an SR raised on the device and track customer tickets in the field.
  • View and add Service Logs.
  • Use barcoding to raise an SR against assets or locations.
  • Full SR classification hierarchy is available on the device for the capture of more accurate data

 

Work Order History

This feature integrates with Fingertip’s Work Execution Module and allows field operators to view the history of work by location and/or assets.
Key features are:

  • Allows for the navigation of location and asset hierarchy on the device.
  • Asset maintenance history to a definable level is available to the field technician.

 

 GIS/Mapping

The GIS/Mapping feature is integrated within Fingertip’s Work Execution Module. It provides a clear display of the location of assets and work orders.
Key features are:

  • View location of work orders on a map.
  • Sort work orders by distance from the device by using current location.
  • Route navigation and directions to a work order.
  • Update asset locations using current GPS by dragging and dropping a pin.

 

Work Centers

Work Centers are a completely new interface for IBM Maximo, which are role focussed and easily accessible on different devices. Peacock Engineering is leveraging Work Center technology for Fingertip and has developed the Fingertip Planner Work Center for Maximo, which provides scheduling capabilities and key analytics on productivity and uptime. Peacock Engineering is producing more Work Centers with functionality and analytics specific to Fingertip use.
